Introduction
Can you really experience all four Disney World parks in just two days without feeling rushed?
I wanted to find out.
Instead of spending four or five days at Disney, my family planned a two-day Park Hopper trip using Lightning Lanes, Disney resort perks, and a detailed itinerary. Surprisingly, we experienced nearly everything we wanted while still having time to relax between parks
Atlas+ Quick Guide
⏰ Trip Length: 3 Days
🎟️ Park Days: 2
🏨 Hotels Stayed:
• Animal Kingdom Lodge
• Grand Floridian
🎢 Strategy:
Morning → Premier Pass
Aftertoon →Multi and Single Pass
⭐ Overall Rating: 9.5/10
Why I Chose a Two-Day Park Hopper Trip
- The length of my trip was three days
- I traveled with my family of three
- We chose only two parks per day because that worked for our schedule, only three days in Orlando
- My goals for the vacation were to make sure I could have time in between the two parks per day for transportation time and Lightning Lane times, and so we didn’t feel rushed but were able to do everything we wanted
- It cost $270 for a 2 day Park Hopper ticket which was a deal for us
Where I Stayed-Friday
Resort Overview
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge-Jambo House

- We stayed in a Savannah View Two Queen Club level room in Kudu Trail overlooking the Arusha Savanna, which cost us around $950 for one night
- I choose it because it fit our family and waking up and seeing giraffes, zebras, and other African wildlife right outside our balcony made the stay unforgettable
What I Liked
- Disney transportation made getting around the property incredibly easy. The hotel bus stop for every Disney park is in a short, convenient walk outside from the lobby
- Since we stayed in a club level room we had nice amenities in their lounge called The Kilimanjaro Club on Level 6. Lots of delicious quick bites with pleasant staff When you check in a Disney Cast Member greets you and guides you to club level with little themed chocolates. It is worth the extra money.
- The location was great because of Early Entry we were at the park at 7:40 with a 5 minute bus ride over to Animal Kingdom
What I Didn’t Like
The only thing I didn’t like is the hotel set up. We had a Savannah view room close to the end of one of the wings which was a long walk back and forth between the lobby, our room or club level. Not to mention getting lost a couple times finding an elevator that can go to all floors. Not all elevators have the 6th level on them.
Would I Stay Here Again?
Yes, the resort is impressively themed around African safari, with subtle Lion King touches throughout. The Cast Members were always friendly and eager to help whenever we needed anything
My Rating: 9/10
Day 1: Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios-Saturday
Morning at Animal Kingdom strategy
- I arrived around 7:45am so we could use the staying on property perk
- We had Lightning Lane premier pass so the first ride we got on was Avatar: Flight of Passage and Na’vi River Journey
- Our favorite moment was Expedition Everest because all of us forgot how much of a thrill that rollercoaster is; criminally underrated
- I overestimated how long it would take to experience everything at Animal Kingdom, so we finished around 11:30 a.m.
Where I Ate on Day 1

Breakfast
- We at breakfast at the Kilimanjaro Club to save time in the morning since it is buffet style meals all day. There was a light line but there was enough seating
- I grabbed fruit, muffins and an orange juice and that was just enough for me.
- LET’S BE CLEAR, the club offers light meals not full meals like downstairs at Boma-Flavors of Africa and Sanaa
Lunch
- We aren’t big eaters so we ate the light snacks at the club level as well around 11:45

Afternoon and Evening Guide at Hollywood Studios
- We had Lightning Lane Multi Pass in the afternoon at Hollywood studios scheduled to start at 1:40 because I over estimated Animal Kingdom earlier. Even though we stayed a deluxe resorts for our trip, Slinky Dog was still not available for a decent time 7 days before, so the day of the trip it was not available at all
- The new update on the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster had me timid to get on, but the Muppets overlay was a great update
- I selected Mickey & Minnie’s Runway Railroad after I scanned my Magic Band for Muppets and was only able to grab 7:10, it was 4 o’clock when the Muppets slot was.
- Rise of the Resistance is worth the Lightning Lane single pass 100% the wait times are always over an hour
- You should prioritize one of the two, Slinky Dog Dash or Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring the Muppets because both Lightning Lanes are hard to grab.
Dinner-Be Our Guest Restaurant-Magic Kingdom
After finishing Hollywood Studios, we headed back to our new hotel for the night before taking the Resort Monorail to Magic Kingdom for dinner.
- Our dinner reservation was a little tight getting over from Hollywood Studios back to the next resort Disney’s Grand Floridan Resort & Spa to back to take the monorail to Magic Kingdom for the 8:20 dinner reservation
- I ordered the Royal Berry Spritzer which was a little pricey at $20 but outstanding, and it comes in a souvenir cup that lights up. We ordered the Blue Crab Bisque Soup Appetizers and Tuna Tartare and we all got the Filet Mignon for an Entrée, then I got Blooming Rose desert which is basically a mousse covered in frosting
- The Main Dining Hall is our favorite and the ambience is beautiful
Next Disney World Hotel-Saturday: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Resort Overview
- We booked a Theme Park View Two Queen room Saturday night in Big Pine Key-which cost $1,090 for one night. Then a water view Two Queen Room Sunday night in Sago Cay which cost $799 for one night after coming back from EPCOT to save money the second night. Florida residents save around 30% per night over the summer.
- Magic Kingdom Deluxe Resorts have the best transportation to Magic Kingdom because of the complimentary Resort Monorail that runs every 5-10 minutes. You can also still the ferry, bus or walk over to Magic Kingdom as well.
- The location was great and seeing the fireworks from your balcony is so magical.
- Not only is the Grand Floridian the most glitzy Disney Resort, I think it’s the best Disney resort in America. The atmosphere is gorgeous, it’s like a French Victorian get away in Central Florida. It is worth the price, I would book this hotel again in a heartbeat.
My Rating: 9/10
What I didn’t like
- The only thing we didn’t prefer is that there are different buildings off the main lobby where rooms are located and they are covered, and this resort being in Florida rain is common
- At this price there should be a complimentary dining option
Day 1 Review
What worked
- Sufficient amount of time in between parks to relax and head back to the room
- So much time to enjoy the atmosphere of the parks and grab snacks
- Our party included one guest not going to the parks so he checked into the next resort which was Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. We were able to go from Hollywood Studios to the Grand Floridian to then take the monorail to Magic Kingdom and back.
What I’d change
- We would have scheduled the Lightning Lane Multi Pass earlier in the day now knowing how long Animal Kingdom would take us
Day 2: Magic Kingdom and EPCOT Guide-Sunday
Morning At Magic Kingdom
- We didn’t get to Magic Kingdom at rope drop but we made it to the monorail station around 8:40, and made it in around 8:50
- Even getting older, Mad tea party is a great ride, spinning around super fast has always been a favorite since I was a kid. This ride deserves more attention
- Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the way to go for Magic Kingdom anytime of the year due to crowds and it being the most popular park
- Even with a Premier Pass I would recommend to B-line to Tron first, and go counter-clockwise in the park starting with Tomorrow land then ending in Adventure land
- While in Adventure land Aloha Isle is a must stop treat spot, the Tropical Serenade Float is my recommendation

Afternoon and Evening at EPCOT itinerary
- Guardians Of the Galaxy Light Lane time slot was set around 4 o’clock so we had almost two hours in between Magic Kingdom and EPCOT to go back to the hotel and relax. Guardians Lightning Lane Single Pass is worth it because like Rise of the Resistance wait times are always over an hour
- We wanted a relaxed day at EPCOT so after that we headed over to Club Cool to trip foreign Coke product flavors before we headed to refurbished Test Track.
- We were able to walk on Living with the Land and Spaceship Earth, and surprisingly Mission Space which is one of our favorites
- My group enjoyed the limited Soarin’ Across America overlay for the 250 anniversary of the United States
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After Lightning Lanes were not available during our time at EPCOT
Day 2 Review
What worked:
- We gave ourselves plenty of time in between Magic Kingdom and Epcot for transportation and to relax back at the hotel
- Every ride we love we were able to get on with almost no wait
What I’d change:
- We should have booked a breakfast reservation for Sunday morning at the Grand Floridian Cafe rather than stops for snacks as we got hungry in the morning time
Was Park Hopper Worth It?
Pros:
- We were able to squeeze in every theme park in our time in Orlando, we were happy about that
- Plenty of time to chill back in our hotel room in between parks everyday
- Buying a ticket for parks individually would have cost more than a 2 day park hopper; Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom tickets plus Lightning Lane passes would have been significantly more expensive than proper planning to Park Hop.
- The crowds were not too bad which made Park Hopping and Lightning Lane a breeze
Cons
- If you aren’t ready to walk a lot maybe park hopping isn’t for you
- There was nothing my group disliked about park hopping, it’s not even an all day thing as long as you have a Premier Pass in the morning and Multi Pass in the afternoon
- What I disliked is the fact that you can’t purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass for more than one park a day
Was Lightning Lane Worth It?
- We purchased Lightning Lane Premier Passes for Animal Kingdom which cost $169 (June 2026) and Magic Kingdom which cost $335 (June 2026) in the morning and Lightning Lane Multi Pass in the afternoon parks. Multi Pass for Hollywood Studios cost $35 and $25 for the single pass for Rise of the Resistance, and EPCOT cost $25 for a Multi Pass and $25 for the single pass of Guardian of the Galaxy
- Lightning Lane is 100% worth the money because with most rides you can get right on
- My group and I would definitely buy it again because it makes the Disney experience much better
My Top 10 Rides of the Trip
- Tron Lightcycle/Run
- Space Mountain
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
- Test Track
- Soarin’ Across America
- Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Star Wars: Rise of Resistance
- Expedition Everest-Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
- Avatar Flight of Passage
My Biggest Disney World Itinerary Tips
- Stay on property, trust me you won’t touch a car for days
- If you have 4 days plus to spend in Orlando for every Disney park go ahead and get Premier Pass for everyday, but the smart way is to schedule two parks per day(you won’t feel rushed)
- If you can splurge for a Deluxe Disney Resort it will add to your Disney experience
- For Lightning Lane Multi Pass, when you scan your MagicBand or Phone instantly go the Disney World app and try to schedule your next ride hoping there are time slots open
- You don’t have to worry with Lightning Lane Premier Pass about time slots because you can walk up anytime, but if you want a ride you couldn’t get at first check your Disney app frequently to see if a party cancelled
Would I Do It This Way Again?
I would do it this way again because my family got to experience every park with plenty of time to get to the next park. The only thing we would change is scheduling lunches in the parks and breakfast at the hotel.
Final Verdict
Can you successfully experience all four Disney World parks in two day? If someone asked me whether two days is enough for Disney World and hotels, my answer would be yes—but only with the right strategy. Staying on Disney property, planning Lightning Lanes in advance, and allowing time to relax between parks made the trip enjoyable instead of stressful. I’d absolutely do this itinerary again, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to experience all four parks without spending an entire week in Orlando.
